Gayle E. Martin is a native Ann Arboright. She is a graduate from the University of Michigan where she earned her BFA degree. She’s an Instructor of Dance for 38 years and has been giving a new position to Instruct Voice at Washtenaw Community College. She has been blessed and honored to be performing onstage, be it dance, singing, or acting since the age of 3. She also teaches preschool at Children’s Creative Center where she has directed a children’s Musical every summer for the last 17 years. She choreographed Willy Wonka for the Chelsea Players, for Ann Arbor Civic Theatre show, First Date. She has been fortunate to grace the stage of Encore as the Mute in Fantasticks, Bloody Mary in South Pacific, The Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Jenntte in Full Monty and a tap-dancing chimney sweep in Mary Poppins. She had the pleasure to perform in the original musical, Into the Wild as Jan, which is based on the book and movie.
