Rules And Regulations

Dancers and all guests/affiliates of dancers at the studio or studio events must follow the studio Policy Handbook, Code of Conduct, Rules, and Regulations.

Registration:

There is an annual registration fee of $25.00 for all students and $40 per Family.

An annual registration fee covers the cost of administration and so on. Registration fees are not refundable.

Tuition:

Full monthly tuition is due by 1st of each month. After the 5th of the month, a $25 late fee will be applied and the student may be asked to sit out or denied admission to class(es). Students cannot participate in class until all accounts are paid in full including late fees. Tuition and special events are non-refundable.

Cash can be given during office hours if applicable and if and when office hours are offered for Dance Illumination, Money Orders and Cashiers checks ONLY can be placed (inside) in the studio drop box by the entrance. If dropbox payment is preferred please make payments out to Dance Illumination and memo child’s name and class information.  Please avoid placing cash in the drop box and we encourage everyone to pay online. Credit/Debit Cards (Mastercard/Visa) payments are accepted online and will be charged directly to your specified VISA or MasterCard. Tuition may be paid online through an automatic withdrawal option from your credit or debit card account. NO PERSONAL CHECKS PLEASE!

In the month of January and April (Holiday/Break months) all payments must be made by the 1st of the month.  Any cashier checks or money orders are due and must be turned in before the payment deadline as the studio will be closed on holidays (Christmas break and Spring Break…etc).

Dance Illumination does not prorate tuition and fees due to holidays, personal vacations, school vacations, missing classes or breaks. Tuition is based on an even number of weeks during the dance season.

Tuition does not include the registration fee, dancewear, shoes, costumes, recital fees/package and tickets, media services, private lessons, or special events.

Costumes:

Costumes fee/s will be split in half, into two monthly payments, half of the costume fee is due in October along with monthly tuition and the 2nd half of the costume fee is due in November along with monthly tuition. Each class has a required costume fee in order to participate in the recital. Late costume orders are subject to a $10.00 late fee charge. All accounts and monthly fees must be current in order to receive costumes.

Recital:

There is a recital fee for all students participating in the recital for both recreational students and pre-professional company. Fees will be determined and announced in December. Recital fees will be split into two monthly payments the first half is due in January along with monthly tuition and the second half is due in February along with monthly tuition. All Dance Illuminations families will be notified of recital dates by the first week in  December 2018.

Refund Policy:

There are no refunds on monthly fees, private lessons, special events, costumes, tuition, registration, dancewear, shoes, recital tickets, recital fees, videography, photography or workshop/masterclass.

Class Start  Date and Class Information:

Once you have submitted payment and received a confirmation of your registration you are all set to begin classes. We will not contact you unless there is a question about the registration process. Please ensure you register your child by his or her age. Students are to be dropped off no earlier than 10 minutes before their scheduled class time and picked up as soon as classes are released. After a 10 minute grace period, there will be a $15.00 late fee applied for all late pickups. All students 8 and under should have a parent in the building (In the designated waiting area) during class time. All families must sign a waiver release form in order to participate.   • Studio Open House: August 18, 2018
  • Monday Classes Begin: August 20, 2018
  • Saturday Classes Begin: August 25, 2018
  • All Other Classes Begin August 28, 2018

Dance Illumination Closing Dates:

  • Labor Day: September 3, 2018
  • Thanksgiving Day: November 22, 2018
  • Friday after Thanksgiving: November 23, 2018
  • Christmas Eve: December 24, 2018
  • Christmas Day: December 25, 2018
  • New Year’s Day: January 1, 2019
  • Martin Luther King Day: January 21, 2019
  • Spring Break: April 1 – 7, 2019
  • Memorial Day: May 27, 2019
